How do I book a tour?

Select BOOK ONLINE  at the top of the page. This will show you the schedule for upcoming tours. VIEW TOUR SCHEDULE for the tour you are interested in. If you select GHOST WALK TOUR, you will need to click the BOOK NOW button to see the available dates and times. You can click directly on the tour time (such as 7:00 PM) once you have selected a date. Once the date and time have been selected, you can click the NEXT button and you will be prompted to enter your contact information and the number of people in your party (only include members aged 11+ as children 10 and under are free). Regular tours have a maximum of 24 members. You will receive a confirmation email once your payment is received. This email will also act as your electronic receipt. 

 

When are tours available?

Please follow the instructions above to navigate to the scheduled tours. There is typically one tour offered daily at 7:00 pm. 

 

Do I need a PayPal account to pay for and book a tour? 

No,  if you don't have a PayPal account or you would like to pay via credit or debit card,  scroll down and you can input your credit card information like any other online purchase.

 

Why can’t I book my whole group for the tour? 

Regular tours have a maximum capacity of 24 people. When filling out your contact information and selecting the number of people in your party, the drop-down menu will display only the number of available slots that are left for the specific tour you have selected. Other tours may have more availability. If your group exceeds the capacity for any tour, you may have to select a different date with more availability. 

 

Why do I have to pay in advance? 

Your advanced payment acts as a deposit to ensure that you are interested in attending the tour. Our tours have a limited capacity and every head makes a difference. Advanced payment protects our tour guides and the rest of the guests who may not be able to attend specific tours if they are already full. 

 

What does the tour entail?

The tour is a walking tour of historical downtown Durango lasting roughly 1.5 hours. Your tour guide will walk you through the historic district of Durango while sharing the tales of the original settlers and occupants of the area, their houses and families, their (sometimes brutal) fates, and the places (and spirits) they have left behind. As you pass the historical buildings, your guide will share the specific stories of the buildings and the original occupants, including historical context and tales of the spirits that may have been left behind. 

 

What should I bring on the tour with me? 

Comfortable shoes to walk in, anything you may need to be comfortable in the weather as the tour takes place outside (this may include sunscreen, water, a jacket, or whatever else you may need.) In addition, please have the name used when booking your tour and access to your electronic receipt that was emailed to you upon payment confirmation. The email confirmation you receive upon payment will act as your receipt. 

 

How can I share any pictures I take on the tour?

We love it when our tour guests share the pictures they capture along the tours! If you have a picture you would like to share please email it to us at info@ghostwalkdurango.com or post it to our Facebook page, Ghost Walk Durango.
